Partnership Opportunities
Getting started as an Odoo Partner can be tricky. The larger inbound opportunities flow to Gold and Silver partners leaving Learning & Ready Partner to build their own pipeline. It is a crowded place and there are international (Gold/Silver) partners who advertise their services in the UK for competitive rates.
It can be difficult to raise the capital resources to provide the depth and breadth of services as successful ERP projects require skills from different disciplines - which can limit the size of opportunities partners work on and increase the ratio of time winning business v delivering outcomes.
Axpero is a chance to change the Odoo playing field in the UK by creating a partnership of Odoo partners who will leverage scale and common resources but retain their own business control.
Everything you need
Axpero is a partnership of experienced Odoo consultants who collaborate to run their own business within a tax effective support structure. Our goal is to become the leading UK Gold Odoo Partner in 2026 by:
- Recruit Experienced Learning & Ready Partners who will operate their businesses under the umbrella of Axpero leveraging the Partnership framework used by many Accountants & Law firms
- Consolidate References/Case Studies, Client Licenses, Lived Experience and Odoo Certification to attain Gold Partner metrics
- Provide shared infrastructure including:
- Customised Odoo Instance to guide sales qualification and provide structured ways of working
- Website, Telephony & eMail Services
- Finance Operations (Invoicing, Debt Collection, Accounting)
- Tax & compliance services (VAT, Corporations Tax, PAYE, Financial Statements)
- Pre-sales/Marketing support:
- Demo infrastructure & scripts
- Pre-recorded videos
- Standard branded presentations & presentation formats
- Gated content
- (Optionally) Provide shared services:
- Support Desk
- Marketing
- Customer Success / Continuous Relationship Management (with opportunities identified routed to the Partner)
You Retain Control
- The Partnership provides an umbrella and central entity for branding & shared services, but each partner runs their own business via a UK Registered Company. Each year, all of the profits are distributed to partners in accordance with the Partnership Agreement. The principle is that you get all of the revenue less an administration fee, and any costs that you authorise through the partnership. This is taxed in 'your hands' via your company's tax return (the partnership does not pay corporations tax). You may continue to pay dividends in your business or follow which ever strategy works for you.
- All partners will be members of the partnership and able to take advantage of the the economic, tax and scale advantages of the partnership. Partner's who provide Certified Individuals to the Partnership and have a turnover above a threshold (to be determined), may be deemed as Senior Partners and are eligible to be elected to the Partnership Management Committee (PMC).
The PMC will set strategy, policy, priorities and approve changes to the Partnership agreement. All Senior Partners will have an equal share in 40% of the overall voting rights. Other Partners will share equally in 10% of the Voting Rights. Augur Ltd will retain 50% of the voting rights but these will be typically reserved for matters impacting the administration, compliance and tax affairs of the business. Augur will abstain from voting on PMC's decisions except where there are matters that impact the reserved matters. Decisions will be carried with the majority of votes cast in a ballot, provided the PMC meeting was held in accordance with the Partnership Agreement.
The object of this provision is to ensure legal and fair administration & compliance whilst providing as much freedom and autonomy to the PMC and to leverage the experience of the PMC members to build a successful business. - The Partnership is required to register and pay VAT and as such, Partners will invoice all of their new Odoo revenue via Axpero. Augur (an accounting firm registered in the UK) will provide the financial operations support and compliance for the partnership.
Joining & Leaving the Partnership
- Partners may join and leave the partnership from time to time and should be free to do so without jeopardising other Partners.
- You may join the partnership at any time and there is no fee to join. You will immediately gain access to resources, Odoo pricing and expertise of other Partners.
- You will need to book all new business via the Partnership and utilise the CRM system
- Invoices will be raised on your behalf and accounts will be kept for your share of the partnership
- There may be a period of on-boarding where you are introduced to different systems, templates, demo environments, and get your team set up on our systems. You may seek nomination to the PMC if you already meet the qualifying criteria or present a plan to reach this within 3 months.
- You may leave at any time, with 3 months notice as a final VAT return will need to be lodged before a distribution of profit can be made. Normal Odoo processes exist for transferring clients between partners and you will not be restricted to set up a separate Odoo partnership.
Fair Play within the Partnership
We encourage ethical behaviour within the partnership and encourage the PMC establish a code of conduct to document expectations. There are a number of principles that we believe will help establish fair play:
- Partners will not compete with each other - they may collaborate on clients but the lead Partner will always be recorded in the CM and be the owner of that client.
- A standard price list will be established to prevent pricing competition. This will be a matter for the PMC, but we envisage that their will be different tiers of resource. This will provide some flexibility within pricing because Partners can decide how much of each resource they may need and create a blended price based on the mix of resource. For example:
- Senior ERP Consultant
- ERP Consultant
- Process Analyst
- Data Migration Analyst
- It is anticipated that standard rates might be on the lower end for larger consultancies because the partnership works on a distributed basis with low overheads and an efficient operating structure. Therefore, partners may be able to charge more than their current rates which may cover the management charge. All client invoices will include VAT but we expect all customers to be VAT registered and therefore not have an issue. Partners may benefit from having their inputs paid via the partnership and therefore being able to claim VAT even though their operating business may not be VAT registered.
- We anticipate that partners may set their own schedule of internal rates that they offer to other partners but this should be the same rate offered to all other partners.
Benefits
We believe this structure provides a number of benefits to Learning & Ready Partners:
- Scale: Partners will be able to win larger and more profitable business as they appear as a larger consultancy and they rank higher within Odoo's Partnership structure.
- License Savings: Partners will be able to access larger discount levels on Licenses, Services and Odoo.sh
- Unlock Time: Partners will free up administrative time with the central provision of accounting / finance support
- Downtime Support: A central support desk/ ticketing and telephone answering will enable partners to take off time and know their clients can still access support if required
- Leverage Systems & Resources: Share costs of partnership, website, branding, demo systems, pre-sales assets, marketing and other costs through a fixed percentage management fee.
- Accounting & Compliance: Financial operations / accounting, VAT and tax return for the Partnership and for the Partner Company included (supplement if the Partner Company has additional revenue/costs outside of the Partnership or if less than £10k billed via the partnership in a year) This should save accounting costs for Partners of ~£1,500 (ex VAT) per annum.
